Bush grad Davis plays in Kansas loss
Fort Bend Bush High School graduate Carolyn Davis scored two points in an 83-68 loss by the University of Kansas to conference rival Iowa State University on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa, the Kansas website reported.
The senior forward also recorded one assist and two steals for the Jayhawks, who are 16-11 on the season and 7-9 in the Big 12 Conference.
Kansas' next game is 7 p.m. Saturday, March 2 at Oklahoma.
A 2009 graduate of George Bush High School in Houston, Texas, Davis Averaged 25 points and 15 rebounds per game as a senior on her way to earning First Team All-District honors. She turned in 19 points and 11 rebounds per game for her George Bush High School team as a junior. Davis earned four letters in basketball, with two coming at GBHS under Christina Rankin. She also competed in volleyball, earning three letters. She is the daughter of Beatrice Johnson.
