Travis grad Watson plays in Grambling State loss

Travis High School graduate Alexis Watson scored three points in Grambling State University's 84-64 loss to conference rival Mississippi Valley State University on Monday, Feb. 25 at Harrison HPER Complex in Itta Bena, Miss., the Grambling website reported.

Watson also recorded three rebounds for the Tigers, who are 6-22 on the season and 4-12 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

Grambling State's next game is 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 at home against Alabama A&M University.

Watson, a 5-foot-6 senior guard for Grambling State University, is a 2009 graduate of Travis High School. The Katy native is the daughter of Alonzo Watson and is a business management major.
