Westbury Christian grad Shepherd contributes to Long Beach win
Westbury Christian High School graduate Nick Shepherd played for Long Beach State in its 109-86 win at home over conference rival Fisk University on Saturday, Feb. 23 in Little Rock, Ark., the team's website reported.
Shepherd recorded one assist and one steal for the Panthers, who improved to 21-8 on the season and 11-13 in the Gulf Coats Athletic Conference.
Nick Shepherd is a 6-foot-9 sophomore forward for Long Beach State. The Missouri City native played at Westbury Christian High School, where he was ranked number 139 by Rivals.com on the list of the top 150 recruits in the nation.
