Austin grad Walter helps Ore Diggers to victory
Fort Bend Austin High School graduate Ry Walter scored nine points in a 77-63 home court win by Colorado School of Mines over conference rival Western New Mexico. on Saturday, Feb. 23 at Lockridge Arena in Golden, Colo, the Mines website reported.
The freshman guard also recorded five rebounds and one assist for the Ore Diggers, who improved to 15-10 on the season and 12-9 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Mines' next game is 7 p.m. Saturday, March 2 at home against Colorado Christian.
Walter, a 2012 graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School in Austin, is a freshman guard for Colorado School of Mines. He is from Sugar Land.
