Dulles grad Mbamalu plays in Louisiana at Lafayette loss
Dulles High School graduate Bryant Mbamalu scored 11 points as the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's dropped an 88-77 home loss to conference rival Western Kentucky University on Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Cajundome in Lafayette, the team's website reported.
The junior forward also recorded five rebounds and one assist for the Ragin' Cajuns, who are 11-18 on the season and 7-11 in the Sun Belt Conference.
Louisiana at Lafayette's next game is 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 at UALR.
Mbamalu played at Dulles in 2006-2010 where he was named First-Team All-District and First-Team All-Region. He was also the second leading scorer in the district. Born Dec. 11, 1991 Mbamalu is the son of Helen Mbamalu. Political science major from Houston.
