Hightower grad Ford scores 20 in Texas State loss
Hightower High School graduate Diamond Ford contributed 20 points in Texas State University's 74-65 loss to conference rival UTSA on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Convocation Center in San Antonio.
The senior guard also recorded two rebounds, an assist, two steals and a block for the Bobcats, who are 9-15 on the season and 3-11 in the Western Athletic Conference.
Texas State's next game is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 on the road against Houston Baptist.
Ford is a 2009 graduate of Hightower High School. She earned TABC All-State and TABC All-Star honors for coach Deb Mize during her senior year. The Houston native is the daughter of Wilbert Ford and Monique Nichols.
