Fort Bend Hightower grad Matthew scores four in Stephen F. Austin State victory
Fort Bend Hightower High School graduate Brittney Matthew contributed four points in Stephen F. Austin State University's 83-80 win over conference rival Southeastern Louisiana on Satuday, Feb. 16 at the University Center in Hammond, La.
The sophomore guard also recorded three rebounds and three assists for the Lumberjacks, who improved to 11-14 on the season and 6-8 in the Southland Conference.
Stephen F. Austin State's next game is 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 on the road against Sam Houston State.
Matthew is a 2011 graduate of Fort Bend Hightower High School in Missouri City, where she was MVP. The biomedical sciences major from Houston is the daughter of Sheku and Giselle Turbe.
