Where are the lowest gas prices in Fort Bend?

Gas prices in and around Fort Bend were lower than the averages for Houston and the country as a whole last week, according to data from the price-tracking website GasBuddy.com.

Visitors to the GasBuddy.com website reported rates at 117 gas stations in and around Fort Bend. As of Saturday, Feb. 16, the average price of regular unleaded gas in Fort Bend was $3.49 per gallon. GasBuddy.com listed the Houston average at $3.51, the state average at $3.52 and the nationwide average at $3.66.

The least expensive gas in Fort Bend was reported to be $3.33 for a gallon of regular unleaded, which GasBuddy.com contributors logged at Murphy USA, 22950 Bellaire Blvd.

A GasBuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas in the area was $3.75 at Shell, 2465 Texas 1092.

Local stations included in the survey were Shell, 2465 Texas 1092; Murphy USA, 22950 Bellaire Blvd.; Exxon, 4225 Sienna Parkway; Chevron, 2196 Texas Parkway; Valero, 2975 Texas Parkway; Shell, 13915 Fondren Road; Texaco, 14607 Hillcroft St.; Chevron, 2420 Cartwright Road; Shell, 1300 Turtle Creek Drive; and Chevron, 503 Texas Parkway.

GasBuddy.com, owned by GasBuddy Organization Inc., offers local gas pricing information to its visitors. The prices, based on the cost of regular unleaded gas, are submitted by the site's contributors. The site's stated mission is "to serve the public by providing a real time gas prices forum so that consumers can have access to the information necessary to locate the lowest fuel prices available."
