Lamar Consolidated grad Izundu helps in Houston victory
Rosenberg Lamar Consolidated High School graduate Valentine Izundu scored two points in the University of Houston's 79-61 home win over conference rival UT-El Paso on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at Hofheinz Pavilion in Houston, the team's website reported.
Izundu also recorded three blocks for the Cougars, who improved to 15-8 on the season and 4-6 in the C-USA.
Houston's next game is 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at Tulsa.
Izundu is a freshman center for University of Houston. He is a 2012 graduate of Rosenberg Lamar Consolidated High School. The Houston native is the son of Stella Izundu.
