Lamar Consolidated grad Chilaka helps in Grand Canyon win

Rosenberg Lamar Consolidated High School graduate Petrolina Chilaka scored two points for Grand Canyon University in a 68-45 home win over conference rival Point Loma Nazarene Saturday, Jan. 19, at GCU Arena in Phoenix, the Grand Canyon website reported Arena in Phoenix, Grand Canyon's website reported.
Chilaka also recorded two rebounds, two assists and a pair of steals for the Lopes, who improved to 15-4 on the season and 7-1 in the Pacific West Conference.
Grand Canyon's next game is 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21 at home against Azusa Pacific University.
Chilaka is a sophomore guard for Grand Canyon University. The Rosenberg native is a 2011 graduate of Rosenberg Lamar Consolidated High School.
