Bush grad Davis plays in Kansas loss
Fort Bend Bush High School graduate Carolyn Davis scored 11 points in a 70-63 loss by her University of Kansas Jayhawks to conference rival Texas Tech Saturday, Jan. 19, at United Spirit Arena in Lubbock, the Kansas website reported.
The University of Kansas senior forward also recorded sixrebounds and two assists as the Jayhawks fell to 11-5 on the season and 2-3 in the Big 12 Conference.
Kansas' next game is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 at home against Texas.
A 2009 graduate of George Bush High School in Houston, Texas, Carolyn Averaged 25 points and 15 rebounds per game as a senior on her way to earning First Team All-District honors. She turned in 19 points and 11 rebounds per game for her George Bush High School team as a junior. Carolyn earned four letters in basketball, with two coming at GBHS under Christina Rankin. She also competed in volleyball, earning three letters. Carolyn is the daughter of Beatrice Johnson.
