Austin grad Walter contributes to Colorado Mines win
Fort Bend Austin High School graduate Ry Walter played for Colorado School of Mines in its 82-66 win at home over conference rival Colorado-Colorado Springs Friday, Jan. 18, at Lockridge Arena in Golden, the Mines website reported.
Walter recorded one assist for Mines, which improved to 9-5 on the season and 6-4 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The team's next game is 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 at Colorado State-Pueblo.
Walter, a 2012 graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School in Austin, is a freshman guard for Colorado School of Mines. He is from Sugar Land.
