Lamar ISD student exhibits works at Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum
St. Edward's University student and Lamar High School graduate Bryna Hoang will be featured in the Enduring Women exhibit at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin from Saturday, Feb. 2 to Sunday, May 19.
According to a press release, the exhibit will feature 12 women in Texas whose identities and lives are deeply immersed in the land. Hoang was the historian for the Fenstermaker sisters, including Bebe and Mary, of Boerne, and Martha, of Laredo.
The exhibit will feature audio interviews and photography to give visitors a colorful and unique understanding of Texas women who exemplify what it means to live on the land.
Teams of advanced students from St. Edward's University, made up of an historian and a photographer, produced the interview materials and photographs for the exhibit.
The project is a collaboration between the university and museum.
St. Edwards University is at 3001 S. Congress Ave., Austin.
The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum is at 1800 Congress Ave., Austin.
