Austin grad Blaskowsky contributes to Iowa State victory
Austin High School graduate Nicole Blaskowsky scored 17 points to help lead Iowa State to an 82-61 home win over conference rival Oklahoma Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, the team's website reported.
Blaskowsky also recorded eight rebounds, one assist and a steal for the Cyclones, who improved to 13-2 on the season and 4-1 in the Big 12.
Blaskowsky is a freshman guard for Iowa State University. She is a 2012 graduate of Austin High School in Sugar Land, where she was four-year letter winner for the Bulldogs, four-time all-district selection and scored 21 points. The Sugar Land native is the daughter of Douglas Blaskowsky and Carol Onofrio.
