Hoopster got game again, is now a leader
A: Last year, I wasn’t having a good season, and I wasn’t remaining in the double figures. This year, almost all my games have been in double figures, and I’m learning how to be more of a team player.
Q: Who is your favorite athlete?
A: One is Maya Moore. I watch all of her games. She’s one of the big role models for me. She never gives up on her team. Even though they lost to Stanford her senior year, she still played her heart out.
Q: How have your coaches made you a better player?
A: My AAU coach, Julius Jackson, brought out the leadership in me because that’s really a struggle for me. I don’t like to speak out much to my teammates. He made me realize that I am a key player, when I used to think I was just one little player who didn’t matter.
