Fort Bend ISD to hold Chopped Cafeteria Manager Edition Jan. 24
The Fort Bend Independent School District will hold Chopped Cafeteria Manager Edition at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24 at Dulles High School.
According to a press release from the school district, "A group of 12 Fort Bend ISD cafeteria managers, representing campuses from across the district, will compete against each other in FBISD's first Chopped competition. Based loosely on the Food Network's hit television show, 'Chopped,' the event will allow cafeteria managers to compete in one of three categories: breakfast, vegetarian lunch and non-vegetarian lunch."
The chef will be given a mystery basket of ingredients and 25 minutes to create a dish, which will then be judged by a panel of FBISD students, Fort Bend foodies and community leaders. The winner will receive monetary prizes and their dish will be featured on the school's lunch menu next year.
Dulles High School is at 550 Dulles Ave., Sugar Land.
