Six Sugar Land runners complete 2012 MetroPCS Dallas Marathon
Six Sugar Land athletes completed the 2012 MetroPCS Dallas Marathon on Sunday, Dec. 9.
The runners from Sugar Land and their finishing times were Joseph Liang, 4:51:12; Garmond Joe, 4:57:07; Kevin Lavery, 5:10:54; John Lassig, 5:18:55; Amanda Lobin, 5:31:06; and Christina Ezell, 5:49:24.
Race organizers said 4,874 runners finished the 26.2 mile race, which began and ended at Downtown Dallas.
Vladimir Safranov of Russia was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 2:19:38, while Nastassia Padalinskaya of Belarus was the winner in the women's category with a time of 2:43:56.
