Staff of Fort Bend County Precinct 4 announced
After his swearing in Jan. 1, newly installed Fort Bend County Precinct 4 Constable Trever Nehls introduced his new staff.
Nehls named retired Sugar Land Officer John Hermann as chief deputy and retired Houston Police Detective Ruben Valencia as lieutenant.
According to a precinct release, "Hermann is well known in the Sugar Land community having worked for the Sugar Land Police Department for the past 19 years. He served in the patrol division for the majority of that time with a period of four years as a motorcycle officer in the traffic division. Valencia retired from the Houston Police Department with 27 years of service. He worked 16 years in patrol and spent his last 11 years as a detective in the Robbery Division. Valencia comes to Precinct 4 having spent the last 10 years at Lamar Independent School District as a School Resource Officer."
