Travis grad Watson plays in Grambling State loss
Travis High School graduate Alexis Watson contributed two points, but Grambling State lost 71-58 at home to conference rival Alcorn State Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Fredrick C. Hobdy AC in Grambling, La., the team's website reported.
Watson also recorded a rebound for the Tigers, who are 2-13 on the season and 1-3 in the SWAC.
Grambling State's next game is at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at Prairie View A&M University.
Watson, a 5-foot-6 senior guard for Grambling State University, is a 2009 graduate of Travis High School. The Katy native is the daughter of Alonzo Watson and is a business management major.
