Hightower grad Moreland plays in Oregon State loss
Hightower High School graduate Eric Moreland contributed nine points to Oregon State's 79-66 home loss to conference rival Oregon Sunday, Jan. 6, at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, the OSU website reported.
The Oregon State University sophomore forward also recorded nine rebounds, three assists and three blocks for the Beavers, who dropped to 10-4 on the season and 0-1 in the Pac-12.
Oregon State's next game is at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 at home against Arizona State University.
Moreland graduated from Hightower High School, playing basketball for coach David Green in 2007-2010. At Hightower, Moreland played in the Houston all-star game in 2009 while also averaging 10 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks. He is the son of Louis and Verlarne Moreland. Undecided major from Missouri City.
