Fort Bend Bush grad Davis contributes to Kansas victory
Carolyn Davis contributed 14 points in University of Kansas' 60-59 win over conference rival West Virginia University on Saturday, Jan. 5, the school's website reported.
The senior forward also recorded one rebound and two steals for the Jayhawks, who improved to 11-2 on the season and 2-0 in the Big 12 Conference.
Kansas' next game is at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8 on the road against Oklahoma State University-Stillwater.
She is a 2009 graduate of George Bush High School in Houston. As a senior, Davis averaged 25 points and 15 rebounds per game on her way to earning First Team All-District honors. In her junior year, she turned in 19 points and 11 rebounds per game.
Davis also competed in volleyball, earning three letters.
She is the daughter of Beatrice Johnson.
