Westbury Christian grad Shepherd plays in Long Beach State loss
Nick Shepherd, Long Beach State University
Westbury Christian High School graduate Nick Shepherd played for Long Beach State in its 79-73 loss to Cal Poly Thursday, Jan. 3, at Mott Gym in San Luis Obispo, Calif., the Long Beach State website reported.
The sophomore forward and the 49ers are 6-8 on the season.
Shepherd played at Westbury Christian High School from 2007-10. A McDonald's All-American Candidate, he was named first-team all-state and first-team all-district. Shepherd was also named to the Houston ISD and Young Men's Business League All-Tournament teams.
