Hightower grad Ford scores 26 points in Texas State loss
Hightower High School graduate Diamond Ford scored 26 points in Texas State University's 73-70 home loss to conference rival Denver on Thursday, Jan. 3, according to Texas State's website.
The senior guard also recorded six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block for the Bobcats, who are 6-7 on the season and 0-3 in the Western Athletic Conference.
Texas State's next game is 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 at home against New Mexico State.
Ford is a 2009 graduate of Hightower High School. She earned TABC All-State and TABC All-Star honors for coach Deb Mize during her senior year. She is a Houston native.
