Hightower grad Matthew scores 4 points in Stephen F. Austin State loss to Lamar
Britney Matthew, a graduate of Hightower High School, is a sophomore guard for the Stephen F. Austin State University women's basketball team.
Hightower High School graduate Brittney Matthew contributed four points in Stephen F. Austin State's 65-50 home loss to Lamar on Thursday, Jan. 3 in Nacogdoches, Texas, Stephen F. Austin State's website reported.
The Stephen F. Austin State University sophomore guard also recorded three rebounds, three assists and a steal for the Lumberjacks, who are 5-7 on the season.
Stephen F. Austin State's next game is 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 at home against Mcneese State.
Matthew is a 2011 graduate of Hightower High School in Missouri City, where she was MVP. The biomedical sciences major from Houston is the daughter of Sheku and Giselle Turbe.
