Austin grad Blaskowsky contributes to Iowa State victory
Austin High School graduate Nicole Blaskowsky scored nine points in Iowa State's 86-47 home win over Alabama State Sunday, Dec. 30, at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, the State website reported.
The Iowa State University freshman guard also recorded one rebound, an assist and a steal for the Cyclones, who improved to 9-1 on the season.
Iowa State's next game is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2 at home against University of Texas at Austin.
Blaskowsky is a 2012 graduate of Austin High School in Sugar Land, where she was four-year letter winner for the Bulldogs, four-time all-district selection and scored 21 points. The Sugar Land native is the daughter of Douglas Blaskowsky and Carol Onofrio.
