Hightower grad Matthew helps in Stephen F. Austin win
Fort Bend Hightower High School graduate Brittney Matthew scored six points as Stephen F. Austin State won 73-69 at home over Tulsa Sunday, Dec. 30, at William R. Johnson Coliseum in Nacogdoches, the SFA website reported.
The sophomore guard also recorded two rebounds, four assists and a steal for the Ladyjacks, who improved to 5-6 on the season.
Stephen F. Austin State's next game is 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3 at home against Lamar University.
Matthew is a 2011 graduate of Fort Bend Hightower High School in Missouri City, where she was MVP. The biomedical sciences major from Houston is the daughter of Sheku and Giselle Turbe.
