Bush grad Gatlin contributes to Sam Houston win
Bush High School graduate DeMarcus Gatlin scored five points in Sam Houston State University's 73-57 win over Samford University Saturday, Dec. 15, at Pete Hanna Center in Birmingham, Ala., according to Sam Houston State's website.
The Sam Houston State junior guard also recorded four rebounds, five assists and two steals for the Bearcats, who improved to 5-5 on the season.
Sam Houston State's next game is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19 at home against Huston-Tillotson.
Gatlin is a junior guard for Sam Houston. The Houston native is a 2010 graduate of Bush High School, where he was all-district selection for coach Ronnie Courtney. He scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds. He also had four assists and two steals.
