Westbury Christian grad Shepherd helps in Long Beach State victory
Westbury Christian High School graduate Nick Shepherd played for Long Beach State in an 82-65 win at home over Brigham Young University Saturday, Dec. 15, in Long Beach, Calif., according to Long Beach State's website.
The sophomore forward helped Long Beach State improve to 4-6 on the season. Long Beach State's next game is 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 at UCLA.
Shepherd played at Westbury Christian High School from 2007-10. A McDonald's All-American Candidate, he was named first-team all-state and first-team all-district. Shepherd was also named to the Houston ISD and Young Men's Business League All-Tournament teams.
