Sartartia Middle School hosts First Lego League event
The Sartartia Middle School First Lego League qualifier Saturday, Dec. 8 drew six teams of students from the area to compete.
Sartartia Middle School's Science and Robotics Club hosted the first annual middle school First Lego League qualifier Saturday, Dec. 8.
According to a press release from Sartartia Middle School, "An international robotics program in partnership with LEGO, the FLL is part of the For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, or FIRST, organization, an international nonprofit agency with the mission of inspiring the future workforce to appreciate the excitement and personal rewards of a career in science and technology. Six teams of middle school students from around the area, as well as coaches and parents, attended the event at Sartartia Middle School in Sugar Land, Texas."
"FIRST Lego League provides a unique opportunity for young people to have fun while learning," said Ian Macintyre, one of the sponsors of the SMS Science and Robotics Club, in the release.
Sartartia Middle School is at 8125 Homeward Way, Sugar Land.
