Stafford grad Canel plays in Northwood loss

Stafford High School graduate Anabel Canel contributed two points as her Northwood University lost 58-57 at home to Milligan Friday, Dec. 14, at West Palm Beach, Fla., according to Northwood's website.

The Northwood senior guard also recorded a rebound for the Seahawks, who are 4-5 on the season. The team's next game is 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 at Drury.

Canell is a 2009 graduate of Stafford. The banking and finance major is from Stafford and is the daughter of Jesse and Cynthia Canell.
