Gas prices in and around Fort Bend were lower than the averages for Houston and the country as a whole, according to data from the price-tracking website gasbuddy.com.
Visitors to the gasbuddy.com website reported rates for 98 gas stations in and around Fort Bend.
As of Saturday, Dec. 15, the average price of regular unleaded gas in Fort Bend was $3.01 per gallon. Gasbuddy.com listed the Houston average at $3.03, the state average at $3.04 and the nationwide average at $3.28.
The least expensive gas in Fort Bend was reported to be $2.79 for a gallon of regular unleaded, which gasbuddy.com contributors logged at Chevron, 1274 Crabb River Road.
A gasbuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas in the area to be $3.34 at Shell, 2465 FM-1092.
