ISD president to seek re-election in May
Jim Rice, the president of the Fort Bend Independent School District has announced he will seek re-election next May.
A perss release from the candidate said, "Jim Rice announced he will seek re-election as Fort Bend Independent School District Board of Trustee, Position 3 in the May 11, 2013 election."
The Fort Bend Independent School District is the seventh largest school district in Texas with nearly 70,000 students. It covers a district of 170 square miles and serves its students with 74 campuses, including 11 high schools, 14 middle schools and 45 elementary schools. Fort Bend Independent School District also has a Technical Education Center, the M.R. Wood Center for Learning, the Progressive High School and the Ferndell Henry Center for Learning. The school district is the largest employer in Fort Bend County with approximately 9,100 employees and substitutes.
