Skinner receives scholarship from university

Fort Bend Christian Academy teacher, Mike Skinner, received the 2012 Houston Baptist University The Guild Sharon Elaine Saunders Endowed Scholarship in Graduate Education on Thursday, Dec. 7 at The Guild's annual Christmas luncheon.
"Through their efforts, The Guild has provided the means for energetic, bright, responsible graduate students to experience for themselves the life-shaping, Christ-centered educational excellence that is Houston Baptist," according to a university press release.
Skinner holds a degree in Christianity and Biblical languages from Houston Baptist University and is working on a Master of Theology degree at Houston Baptist University.
In addition to teaching freshman Bible classes at Fort Bend Christian Academy, Skinner is the lead pastor at First Colony Christian Church.
