Hightower High grad Green plays in Texas Christian University loss
Hightower High School graduate Garlon Green contributed 16 points in Texas Christian University's 50-49 loss to University of Tulsa on Saturday, Dec. 8, according to Texas Christian University's website.
The senior guard also recorded four rebounds and one block for the Horned Frogs, who are 6-4 on the season.
Texas Christian University's next game is at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 at home against Southern University.
In 2008-2009, Green played at Hightower High School, where he ranked as one of the top players in the Greater Houston area. That same season, TexasHoops.com ranked him the 12th best player in Texas.
In addition to receiving first team All-District 23-5A honors and All-Texas State accolades, MyHouston's55.com nominated him as the best slam dunker.
During his AAU career, Green also played for the Houston Elite and Houston Hoops.
He is the son of Gerald (Texas Southern scholarship winner) and Brenda Green.
