These women's college basketball players, all with Fort Bend high school ties, have scheduled action this week:

Brittney Matthew, Stephen F. Austin State University

High school: Fort Bend Hightower High School
This week: Thursday, Dec. 6, at Oklahoma State University
About Matthew: Matthew is a sophomore guard for Stephen F. Austin State University. She is a 2011 graduate of Fort Bend Hightower High School in Missouri City, where she was MVP. The biomedical sciences major from Houston is the daughter of Sheku and Giselle Turbe.

Azalea Hall, Texas Southern University
Position: Forward
High school: Fort Bend Hightower High School
This week: Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Sam Houston State University
About Hall: Hall is a 2010 graduate of Hightower High School. She is a junior on the women's basketball team at Texas Southern University.

Morgan Simmons, Texas Southern University
Position: Forward
High School: Austin High School
This week: Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Sam Houston State University
About Simmons: Simmons, a 6-foot-1 sophomore for Texas Southern University, is a 2011 graduate of Austin High School. She is a La Marque native.

Carolyn Davis, University of Kansas

High School: George Bush High School
This week: Thursday, Dec. 6, at University of Arkansas
About Davis: A 2009 graduate of George Bush High School in Houston, Texas, Davis averaged 25 points and 15 rebounds per game as a senior on her way to earning First Team All-District honors. She turned in 19 points and 11 rebounds per game for her George Bush High School team as a junior. Davis earned four letters in basketball, with two coming at GBHS under Christina Rankin. She also competed in volleyball, earning three letters. She is the daughter of Beatrice Johnson.

Alycea Price, East Central University

High School: Rosenberg Lamar Consolidated High School

About Price: Price is a junior forward for East Central University. She is a 2010 graduate of Rosenberg Lamar Consolidated High School. The psychology major from Houston is the daughter of Marcell and Natalie Price.

Diamond Ford, Texas State University

High School: Hightower High School

About Ford: Ford, a 5-foot-9 senior guard for Texas State University, is a 2009 graduate of Hightower High School. She earned TABC All-State and TABC All-Star honors for coach Deb Mize during her senior year. The Houston native is the daughter of Wilbert Ford and Monique Nichols.

Donielle Breaux, Texas Christian University

High School: Fort Bend Elkins High School

About Breaux: Breaux is a sophomore guard for Texas Christian University. The Missouri City native is a 2011 graduate of Fort Bend Elkins High School, where she was district offensive player of the year.

About Ezeh: Ezeh, a 6-foot junior for Texas State University, is a 2010 graduate of Bush High School. There she played for coach Christina Rankin and was ranked one of the top 10 players in the Houston area coming out of high school by Houston Prep Report, and one of the top 100 players in Texas by the FCP Report. The Houston native graduated Cum Laude and is the daughter of Boniface and Mercy Ezeh.

Nicole Blaskowsky, Iowa State University

About Blaskowsky: Blaskowsky is a freshman guard for Iowa State University. She is a 2012 graduate of Austin High School in Sugar Land, where she was four-year letter winner for the Bulldogs, four-time all-district selection and scored 21 points. The Sugar Land native is the daughter of Douglas Blaskowsky and Carol Onofrio.
