Hightower grad Ford plays in Texas State loss
Hightower High School graduate Diamond Ford scored five points, but her Texas State University basketball squad dropped a 90-55 decisions to Oklahoma State Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, according to the Texas State website.
Ford also recorded three rebounds, four assists and three steals for the Bobcats, who dropped to a 3-2 season record.
Ford, a 5-foot-9 senior guard for Texas State, is a 2009 graduate of Hightower High School. She earned TABC All-State and TABC All-Star honors for coach Deb Mize during her senior year. The Houston native is the daughter of Wilbert Ford and Monique Nichols.
