Bush grad Davis helps Kansas to victory
Fort Bend Bush High School graduate Carolyn Davis scored six points in a 101-47 homecourt win by the University of Kansas over Grambling State University Wednesday Nov. 28 at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kan., according to the University of Kansas website.
The Kansas senior forward also recorded two rebounds for the unbeaten Jayhawks, who improved to 6-0 on the season.
A 2009 graduate of George Bush High School, Davis averaged 25 points and 15 rebounds per game as a senior on her way to earning First Team All-District honors. She turned in 19 points and 11 rebounds per game for Bush as a junior. Davis earned four letters in basketball, with two coming at GBHS under Christina Rankin. She also competed in volleyball, earning three letters. She is the daughter of Beatrice Johnson.
