Hightower grad Matthew aids Stephen F. Austin win
Fort Bend Hightower High School graduate Brittney Matthew scored five points in Stephen F. Austin State University's 76-71 win over Cal State Bakersfield Saturday, Nov. 24 at Mott Gym in San Luis Obispo, Calif., the SFA website reported.
Matthew also recorded five rebounds and five assists in the win, which moved Stephen F. Austin to 4-2 on the season. The team's next gameĀ is at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 at Grambling State.
Matthew is a sophomore guard for Stephen F. Austin. She is a 2011 graduate of Fort Bend Hightower High School in Missouri City, where she was MVP. The biomedical sciences major from Houston is the daughter of Sheku and Giselle Turbe.
