Dulles grad Mbamalu plays in Louisiana-Lafayette loss

Dulles High School graduate Bryant Mbamalu contributed six points in a 79-57 loss by his University of Louisiana at Lafayette to New Mexico State Friday, Nov. 23 at Pan American Center in Las Cruces, according to the team's website.

Mbamalu also recorded seven rebounds, one assist and a steal for the Ragin' Cajuns, who are 2-3 on the season.

Louisiana-Lafayette's next game is Sunday, Nov. 25 at Michigan State.

Mbamalu played at Dulles in 2006-2010 where he was named First-Team All-District and First-Team All-Region. He was also the second leading scorer in the district. Born Dec. 11, 1991 Mbamalu is the son of Helen Mbamalu. He is a political science major from Houston.
