Dulles grad Mbamalu helps Louisiana-Lafayette win
Dulles High School graduate Bryant Mbamalu scored nine points in his University of Louisiana at Lafayette's 76-66 home win over Southern University Wednesday, Nov. 21, at the Cajundome, according to the school's website.
Mbamalu, a junior forward, also recorded three rebounds and one steal for the Ragin' Cajuns, who improved to 2-2 on the season.
Louisiana-Lafayette's next game is 8:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23 at New Mexico State University.
Mbamalu played at Dulles in 2006-2010, where he was named First-Team All-District and First-Team All-Region. He was also the second leading scorer in the district. Born Dec. 11, 1991 Mbamalu is the son of Helen Mbamalu. The political science major is from Houston.
