Christmas Tree Lighting scheduled for Dec. 6
The city of Sugar Land's 10th annual Christmas Tree Lighting will run from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6 at Town Square plaza in Sugar Land.
According to a city press release, the event will include a life-sized snow globe, Santa Claus, juggling elves, ice sculptures and performances by adult Sugar Land Super Star winner Lauryn Harris, junior Sugar Land Super Star winner Selena Packard, local school groups and organizations and several community choirs. BalletForte will also perform "The Nutcracker."
"There’s one element that really makes this event unique to Sugar Land. When you look at the faces of everyone in attendance, you see the reflection of community pride and togetherness. The fun and festive family atmosphere truly puts you in the holiday spirit," said Teresa Preza, the event production manager, in the release.
Tickets are not required and the event is free.
Town Square plaza is at 15958 City Walk, Sugar Land.
