Hightower grad Matthew helps Austin State win
Ft. Bend Hightower HS graduate Brittney Matthew scored seven points in Stephen F. Austin State University's 80-28 home win over Northwood Monday, Nov. 20 at William R. Johnson Coliseum in Nacogdoches, the Austin State University website reported.
The sophomore guard also recorded a rebound, two assists and three steals for the Jacks, who improved to 3-1 on the season.
Austin State's next game is at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23 on the road against Cal Poly.
Matthew is a 2011 graduate of Fort Bend Hightower High School in Missouri City, where she was MVP. The biomedical sciences major from Houston is the daughter of Sheku and Giselle Turbe.
