Hightower grad Ford plays in Texas State loss
Hightower High School graduate Diamond Ford scored 25 points in a 73-61 home court loss by Texas State University to Rice Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Strahan Coliseum in San Marcos, according to the Texas State website.
Ford also recorded three rebounds, two assists and two steals for the Bobcats, who are 2-1 on the season.
Texas State's next game is at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25 at home against TCU.
Ford, a 5-foot-9 senior guard, is a 2009 graduate of Hightower. She earned TABC All-State and TABC All-Star honors for coach Deb Mize during her senior year. The Houston native is the daughter of Wilbert Ford and Monique Nichols.
