RRT is a local family-owned business “dedicated to changing the face of recycling in the Houston area,” said co-owner Carleen Wolff.

RRT is a local family-owned business “dedicated to changing the face of recycling in the Houston area,” said co-owner Carleen Wolff.

Founded in September 2006, Residential Recycling of Texas, Inc. offers curbside and backdoor pickup of household recycling items. Because the company does not pick up garbage or waste, customers are guaranteed that all items will go to a certified recycling center. RRT offers monthly reports to show its communities the volume of recycling that has been collected and has special pickup services for residents who need extra help or have physical limitations.

WHAT THEY’RE SAYING: “It is never a waste to reuse or recycle any item so it can be used over and over. Plastics can be made into so many new items without having to use any new resources. Tin, aluminum and glass can be recycled indefinitely without losing their integrity. Houstonians have always proved themselves to be giving and concerned people. By reducing waste this just carries on that truth.” — Carleen Wolff, co-owner
