Fort Bend Austin grad Simmons helps in Texas Southern win
Fort Bend Austin High School graduate Morgan Simmons scored five points in Texas Southern University's 68-53 win over Norfolk State Monday, Nov. 19 at Echols Hall in Norfolk, according to Texas Southern's website.
The sophomore also recorded five rebounds and two blocks for the Tigers in their first win of the season after two straight losses.
Texas Southern's next game is 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22 against University of Texas-El Paso.
Simmons, a 6-foot-1 guard, is a 2011 graduate of Austin High School. She is a La Marque native.
