Kindred Hospital Sugar Land welcomes new CEO, chief nursing executive
Kindred Hospital Sugar Land recently welcomed two new members to its team.
According to a press release, Lorene Perona has been appointed as the hospital's new president and CEO, and Dr. Laura Griffin has been appointed chief nursing executive.
Perona, former CEO for Kindred Hospital Sacramento, has held various positions in the past, including critical care nurse; director; assistant vice president for quality, risk and regulatory affairs; and chief nursing officer.
"Sugar Land is an extremely inviting community with genuine, friendly people and sophisticated medical care," Perona said in the release. "It is a pleasure to be here and I look forward to serving the community."
Griffin, a former nurse practitioner at Kindred Hospital Sugar Land, previously held academic positions at numerous institutes of higher learning such as UT School of Medicine and the acute care nurse practitioner program at Texas Women's University.
"I have worked at Kindred Sugar Land for nearly a year as a nurse practitioner," Griffin said in the release. "During this time, I have grown to know many of the staff members. The collegial relationships I have fostered with the staff will help facilitate a smooth transition into chief nursing executive."
