Westbury Christian grad Shepherd plays in Long Beach State loss
Westbury Christian High School graduate Nick Shepherd played for Long Beach State in a 78-63 loss at home against North Carolina Friday, Nov. 16 at Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, according to Long Beach State's website.
The sophomore forward recorded one rebound, one steal and a block for the 49ers, who are 1-2 on the season.
Long Beach State's next game is 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19 on the road against Arizona.
Shepherd played at Westbury Christian High School in 2007-2010 where he was ranked No. 139 by Rivals.com on the list of top 50 recruits. A McDonald's All-American Candidate, he was named first-team all-state and first-team all-district. Shepherd was also named to the HISD and YMBL All-Tournament Teams.
