Hightower grad plays in Oregon State University's loss
Hightower High School graduate Eric Moreland contributed in Oregon State University's 65-62 home loss to Alabama on Nov. 15 in college basketball action.
According to Oregon State University's website, Moreland, a sophomore forward, recorded 6 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists for the Beavers, who are 3-1 on the season. The matchup took place at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Oregon State University's next game is at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16 at home against Purdue.
Moreland graduated from Hightower High School playing basketball for coach David Green in 2007-10. At Hightower, Moreland played in the Houston all-star game in 2009 while also averaging 10 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocks. He is the son of Louis and Verlarne Moreland.
