First independent cycling studio opens in Sugar Land
Revolution Studio, an indoor cycling studio, opened for business Friday, Oct. 26 in Sugar Land Town Square.
Located at 2125 Lone Star Drive, the studio operates in a state-of-the-art facility and offers an online reservations system, according to a press release.
"Revolution Studio is perfect for anyone looking to have fun and mentally escape the day while getting an intense, invigorating cardio workout with proven results," co-owner Kim Syma said in the release, adding that total-body workout includes both mental and emotional components and burns up to 800 calories during the 50-minute session.
Each workout offers cardio, strength-training and a way to relieve stress, according to Mitch Syma, a former personal trainer for the U.S. Air Force and the studio's co-owner.
"I always tell my athletes they should love what they do and work hard at the same time," he said. "This mirrors what Revolution Studio is doing."
"We are a community-focused organization and believe in giving back to our community through partnerships with local and national charities, Ms. Syma said in the release. "Throughout the year, riders at Revolution Studio will sweat it out, all for a good cause."
On those cause-related rides, the business will donate a portion of its profits to a designated charity, the first being an inaugural Turkey Ride benefiting the Houston Food Bank.
