Nine Missouri City runners complete Living in the Light 5K
Nine athletes from Missouri City completed the Living in the Light 5K Saturday, Nov. 3 in Victoria.
The runners from Missouri City and their finishing times were Caden Thomas, 12, 29:56; Carson Thomas, 10, 34:29; Paulos Karnezis, 24, 39:48; Julia Alaniz, 24, 43:53; Nikola Petrovic, 38, 49:43; Michelle Petrovic, 38, 49:43; John Guevara, 72, 55:50; Sandra Alaniz, 51, 56:26; and Mary Alaniz, 15, 56:55.
According to race organizers, 308 runners finished the Living in the Light 5K race, which was held at Riverside Park.
Chris Gussman, of Victoria, won the race in 19:21, while Destinee Kueker, also of Victoria, won women's division with 21:01.
